What is PostalOne!?
PostalOne! is a suite of on-line services that allows the Postal Service to electronically collaborate with its business mail customers. It streamlines the mail acceptance and postage payment process, provides consistent verification, improves tracking of mailing jobs and access to information, and eliminates paperwork.

Why is the Postal Service doing this?
The purpose of PostalOne! is to make doing business with the Postal Service easier. We want to provide the business mail customer with a single access point for all Postal Service business systems used in the business mail process.

What's in it for me?

No more paper printouts
PostalOne! eliminates the need for paper printouts for presorted mailings. Now you can use the Mail.dat file standard to send mailing job information to the Postal Service over the Internet instead of dealing with all that paper.

Know more about your mail
Check on-line to see when your mailing is verified and accepted. Generate on-line reports using information from your mailings. PostalOne! uses your mailing job information to help improve Postal Service processing, and we provide information from our systems to give you the information you've said is important to you. For example, detailed information is available for every point of entry for mailing jobs. You'll know when mail arrives at Postal Service facilities.

PostalOne! captures a detailed profile of each mailing job, which allows the Postal Service to access and process mailing job information faster than ever before. This simplifies the process for our acceptance personnel and gets your mail into the mailstream faster.

PostalOne!'s Transportation Management system offers advanced surface and air transportation assignments to route mail to the most timely transportation possible. You can plan more accurately because you'll know the status of your mailing jobs from start to finish.

No more filling out postage statements. PostalOne! generates them for you, providing a faster and more accurate method of accepting, assessing, and finalizing postage statements. Participants can download and print out estimated postage summary information, individual postage statements within a mailing job, a running total of postage statement activity, and a reconciliation of the information at the end of a mailing job.

PostalOne! uses encryption in a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to ensure that the data that passes between you and the Postal Service is protected.

PostalOne! is a customer-focused system that is the result of customer requests. We value the insights of our PostalOne! participants. Participants can easily submit ideas for improving PostalOne! to our requirements database and we'll take those ideas into consideration when planning future system designs.

When will it be ready?
PostalOne! is being developed in three phases. The first phase of the project is nearing completion and Phase Two begins soon. Business mailer customers who register to become PostalOne! participants will have access to currently available features and to new features as they become available.

Do I meet the current requirements to begin using PostalOne!?

Ask yourself the following questions.

• Do I currently have a Detached Mail Unit within my mailing facility?
• Do I have Internet access?
• Does my mailing facility have the ability to trasnsmit Mail.dat 02-1 files?

If you answered YES to all of the questions, you may be ready to begin the application process to use PostalOne!.

Please Note: Participants in PostalOne! are required to sign an agreement that details the responsibilities for participation in this electronic arena. A copy of the agreement will be included in your welcome kit.

If you did NOT meet the current requirements at this time, please continue with our application process. The program will continue to evolve and our features and process will continue to mature. As we develop the next two phases, we will send you periodic emails with program updates and relevant information about any changes in requirements for participation.
