PostalOne! Future Release Notes — February 7, 2003
Version 5.0

PostalOne! Announces Next Major Release (Release 5.0)

The next major release of the PostalOne! application is scheduled to be released early this summer. This release establishes the foundation for all of the account management and expanded payment options that will be created over the next 22 months in the PostalOne! system. In addition, it completes the online presort documentation for First-Class, Periodicals, Standard and Package Services classes of mail and establishes the framework for a single point of business customer access for expanded mailing information (account balance, postage payment, performance and quality assurance).

Facsimile postage statements have been developed that provide a generic template that will be used for all postage statements in the system except for Periodicals. The generic views of the postage statements will reduce maintenance costs and begin positioning the mailing process for complete elimination of hardcopy postage statements in the future.

The following new statements generated from mailer files will be included in this release:

  • Standard Mail Heavy Letters - Permit Imprint (3602-HR)
  • Nonprofit Standard Mail Letters and Flats - Permit Imprint (PS Form 3602-N)
  • Nonprofit Standard Mail Heavy Letters - Permit Imprint (3602-NHR)
  • Nonprofit Standard Mail With Residual Shape Surcharge - Permit Imprint (3602-NS)
  • Standard Mail Subject to Surcharge - Permit Imprint (3602-RS)

All domestic postage statements are available for customers through the Postage Statement Wizard or for postal employees through the PostalOne! application.
